We provide talent to leading firms looking to expand their product teams Senior Data Analytics & Automation Engineer Location: Accra, Ghana Work arrangement: Hybrid (2-3 days/week on-site) Employment type: Full-time About Dexwin Dexwin is seeking a Senior Data Analytics & Automation Engineer to design, build, maintain, and troubleshoot data, analytics, and automation solutions. This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role within a small, multidisciplinary team, requiring an experienced engineer who can work independently. Our technology environment is Microsoft-first, centered around Python, Power BI, SQL, Snowflake, Power Automate, and Azure. Key Responsibilities Design, build, test, and maintain Python-based data-processing and analytics solutions. Query and transform data in Snowflake using efficient, maintainable SQL. Develop and support Power BI datasets, semantic models, dashboards, and reports. Build reliable automations using Python, Power Automate, APIs, and approved low-code tools. Diagnose and resolve issues affecting data pipelines, integrations, deployments, dashboards, and production workflows. Apply appropriate testing, error handling, logging, monitoring, and recovery practices. Manage and deploy changes safely using Git and established development practices. Document solution designs, dependencies, operating procedures, and known limitations. Identify opportunities to improve reliability, performance, and operational efficiency. Required Experience Minimum of five years of relevant hands-on experience in data, analytics, or automation engineering. Advanced Python skills, including experience building production solutions beyond notebooks and basic scripts. Strong SQL and data transformation capabilities. Hands-on experience with Snowflake. Advanced Power BI experience, including data modeling, DAX, dashboard development, performance optimization, and production support. Practical experience building workflows with Microsoft Power Automate. Experience integrating systems and data sources via APIs. Experience using Git or an equivalent source-control platform. Familiarity with Microsoft Azure data and cloud services. Understanding of data pipelines, CI/CD, monitoring, logging, secure development, and controlled deployment practices. Proven ability to take technical work from problem definition through production delivery and support. What We Are Looking For You should be able to: Translate business and operational needs into practical technical solutions. Work autonomously while clearly communicating progress, risks, and dependencies. Methodically diagnose unfamiliar technical problems. Select appropriately between coded, low-code, and no-code solutions. Produce readable, testable, and maintainable code, along with clear technical documentation. Share knowledge and collaborate effectively with other technical team members. Preferred Experience Experience in any of the following areas would be advantageous: FMCG, retail, supply chain, or another data-intensive industry. Supporting analytics or automation solutions in a structured production environment. Relevant Microsoft, Power BI, Azure, or Snowflake certifications. A relevant degree or comparable practical experience.
