About Cellulant:

Cellulant is Africa’s leading payments company, providing seamless, secure and innovative solutions that empower businesses, banks, and global brands to thrive in a fast-changing global economy.

With a presence in over 24 countries and 200+ payment methods across cards, bank transfer and mobile money, our single API payment platform, Tingg, simplifies collections, disbursements, and reconciliations. It processes over 1 million transactions daily for market leaders across sectors such as Airlines, Telecoms, E-commerce, Ride-Hailing, Retail, and Remittances.

By simplifying how people pay and get paid, we drive trust, commerce and scale – and connect companies to their ambitions.

Our Mission: To deliver seamless, secure and innovative payment solutions for businesses.

Our Vision: To create a connected world where businesses move money as easily as they share ideas.

Our Story:

Across Africa, payments are more than transactions. They are gateways to prosperity, connecting people, businesses and communities to opportunities and growth.

From enabling a logistics company in Lusaka to pay suppliers across borders, to enabling a hospitality brand in Lagos to scale effortlessly, to supporting an airline in Nairobi to reconcile payments from multiple platforms, Cellulant is the bridge that makes it all possible.

Through trusted technology and customer-centric innovation, we build connections that inspire progress, strengthen economies and transform payments into a tool for progress.

Since our founding in 2003, we've continuously adapted and grown, leveraging our experiences to simplify payments for businesses. We are driven by an unshakable belief that seamless people-centred payments are the key to unlocking prosperity.

Today, Cellulant powers online and offline payment processing, allowing businesses to collect payments, send payouts, and accelerate business growth.

Role Overview:

Acts as the single local point of coordination for finance, compliance, procurement, and office administration for the Botswana office, resolving day-to-day operational matters that currently fall to the Country Lead. The role exists to free the Country Lead for strategic and commercial work by owning routine administrative execution and acting as the local interface into the Finance Centre of Excellence, Compliance and Regulatory Affairs, Group Procurement, and local stakeholders (vendors, banks, service providers).

What You'll do:

• Compliance support Maintains day-to-day compliance record-keeping and supports MLRO/DPO-related administrative duties; acts as the local interface with Compliance and Regulatory Affairs, handling routine and moderately complex regulatory queries and escalating novel or high-risk questions to them directly.

• Procurement Manages vendor registration, document upload, and requisition processing for the local office; works with the Group Procurement team to understand and follow their processes, and strives for full compliance with Group procurement policy.

• Office operations Coordinates office supplies, deliveries, and logistics for local team initiatives.

• Record keeping Maintains consistent, audit-ready financial and administrative records in place of the current reliance on multiple informal contacts.

• Reception & executive support Provides front-of-office cover (visitors, calls) and ad hoc executive support to the Country Lead (e.g. diary, travel booking), reflecting the realities of a two-person office. This is flexed around the core accountabilities above, not a scheduled block of time, and should not be allowed to displace them.

Decision Rights:

• Owns: day-to-day processing of accounts payable/receivable queries, vendor registration and requisitions, office logistics, and routine record-keeping.

• Escalates: banking/cost-centre disputes beyond routine resolution, and any compliance or regulatory question outside established procedure, to the Finance Centre of Excellence or Compliance and Regulatory Affairs as appropriate.

• Interfaces with: the Finance Centre of Excellence, Compliance and Regulatory Affairs, Group Procurement, and local stakeholders (vendors, banks, service providers) — acting as the on-the-ground point of contact where central teams lack local context.

What we are looking for:

• Working knowledge of basic financial administration (receivables/payables) and procurement processing.

• General familiarity with compliance record-keeping requirements; capacity to follow defined procedures and recognise when to escalate.

• Diploma-level qualification (or working towards one), with demonstrated capability in an administrative or finance support setting.

• Comfortable operating with a degree of autonomy in a small, local office with limited on-site supervision.
